HONOR has launched its Robot Phone in China, a device that integrates a fully motorised 3-axis gimbal directly into the smartphone design, enabling users to capture smooth cinematic footage without extra equipment.
The device, developed in collaboration with German cinema camera manufacturer ARRI, features a Dual 200MP camera system: a 200MP Agile Gimbal Main Camera, a 200MP Periscope Telephoto Camera with 2.7x optical zoom, and a 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera, said a press release on Thursday.
The 3-axis mechanical gimbal physically moves the camera module to absorb shakes and smooth out fast action shots. The camera arm supports professional movement modes including Tilt Lock, First Person View (FPV) and AI SpinShot.
By combining HONOR’s hardware innovation with ARRI colour science and imaging expertise, the device brings film-quality imaging to everyday creators. ARRI’s cinematic technology intelligently balances bright highlights and deep shadows to preserve natural skin tones and rich visual detail.
HONOR CEO James Li said hardware set the foundation for image quality, while algorithms delivered the leap.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the phone delivers flagship performance for complex AI processing, imaging and multitasking.
The 7,060mAh silicon-carbon battery provides all-day endurance with 120W wired and 50W wireless HONOR SuperCharge capabilities.
