Graffiti with anti‑Shibir messages appeared at Dhaka University’s Shahid Sergeant Zahurul Huque Hall, similar to incidents seen at other higher education institutions in the country.
Hall union leaders condemned the “Gupto Shibir” graffiti, saying it caused financial damage since the guest room walls had only recently been repainted.

General Secretary Khaled Hasan said it was “very unfortunate” that political rivalry between Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Shibir was undermining development work in the hall.
He warned that if such incidents continued, efforts to attract sponsors for hall improvements would become meaningless. “With this mindset, no good initiative can move forward,” he said.
