Gulf Exchange and bKash have launched a strategic partnership to streamline remittance services for the Bangladeshi community in Qatar, enabling faster and more secure money transfers.
Expatriates in Qatar can now send money directly to bKash wallets in Bangladesh, giving families instant access to funds, bKash said in a press statement.
“This partnership strengthens our commitment to providing a faster, safer, and more convenient way for our Bangladeshi customers to send money home,” said Gulf Exchange CEO Ahmad Ali Al-Sarraf.
The transfers will be settled through a scheduled commercial bank in Bangladesh, offering competitive exchange rates and quick processing times. The move is expected to simplify the remittance process for thousands of Bangladeshis working in Qatar, making it easier for them to support their families back home.
“This partnership marks a key milestone in expanding our global remittance services. We aim to make financial services more accessible for Bangladeshis abroad, ensuring their hard-earned money reaches their families instantly and safely,” said bKash Chief Commercial Officer Ali Ahmmed.
The partnership was formalized at Gulf Exchange’s headquarters in Doha, with leaders from both organizations in attendance. The service is expected to play a significant role in enhancing financial inclusion, providing a secure and efficient remittance channel for the large Bangladeshi expatriate population in Qatar.
