A pre-order registration page for ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ has reportedly appeared on the website of a major Greek retailer, fuelling speculation that new promotional material for the highly anticipated game could arrive soon.
The listing, first highlighted by users on Reddit, was spotted on the website of Public, one of Greece’s largest electronics and gaming retailers. Although customers cannot yet purchase the game, the page allows users to register interest for future pre-orders.
The development comes as anticipation continues to build around Rockstar Games’ upcoming title, which is currently scheduled for release on 19 November following two delays.
While the listing has not been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games or parent company Take-Two Interactive, some fans believe retailers are often informed in advance about upcoming pre-order plans and marketing schedules.
Online reactions were mixed, with some players treating the page as a promising sign that pre-orders could soon open, while others remained sceptical after several previous rumours and false alarms surrounding the game.
Public’s status as a major retailer has given the discovery more credibility among fans than similar listings seen previously from smaller stores or unofficial resellers.
Despite the excitement, there has been no indication from Rockstar Games that a third trailer for the game is imminent. The company has remained relatively quiet since announcing the latest release delay.
Industry analysts expect GTA 6 to become one of the biggest entertainment launches in history, with strong expectations that the game could break sales and revenue records upon release.
The prolonged wait and repeated delays have only intensified expectations among players, placing additional pressure on Rockstar Games to deliver a title capable of matching years of hype surrounding the next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
