Grameen Bank has paid a 30 per cent share dividend to the government for the year 2025.
Grameen Bank is jointly owned and operated by its borrower-members, who hold a 90 per cent stake, and the government, which holds the remaining 10 per cent.
On 7 September 2026, Grameen Bank Chairman Abdul Hannan Chowdhury handed over a cheque for Tk8.70 crore to Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury as a 30 per cent dividend on the government’s share capital in Grameen Bank.
Also present at the event were Financial Institutions Division Secretary under the Ministry of Finance Nazma Mobarek; Grameen Bank Managing Director Sarder Akhter Hamed; Deputy Managing Directors Syed Motiur Rahman and Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury; and Company Secretary Abdus Sabur Md Baqius.
