The government has ordered the release of four prisoners by remitting their sentences on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Adha.
The information was confirmed by Assistant Inspector General of Prisons (Development and Media) Md Jannat-ul Farhad through a press release.
He said the sentences of the prisoners were remitted under special consideration for Eid-ul-Adha. After completion of necessary formalities, they will be released from their respective prisons.
The prisoners approved for release are Md Islam Sheikh, a convict of Khulna District Jail; Nayeem Sikder of Faridpur District Jail; Abdul Malek of Chuadanga District Jail; and Palash Barua of Rangamati District Jail.
