LGRD Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the government is actively moving forward with the implementation of its pre-election pledges.
He emphasised that national unity is essential for building the nation, urging all citizens to work together in this mission
Mirza Fakhrul, also the BNP Secretary General, made the remarks on Friday afternoon at an iftar programme organised by the non-governmental organisation ESDO.
Addressing the gathering, the Thakurgaon-1 MP said, “You have given me your support. I am eternally grateful and can never repay your debt. Very soon, work on the Thakurgaon Medical College and the local university will begin. The establishment of an EPZ and airport is underway. Agricultural loans of Tk10,000 for farmers have been waived with interest. May Allah grant us the strength to build a welfare-oriented state. We aim to move forward upholding the ideals of 1952, 1971, and 1924.”
The programme was attended by State Minister for Water Resources, Farhad Hossain Azad, ESDO Executive Director Dr Shahiduzzaman, and other dignitaries.
