Rajbari served up honest youth football on Friday as the Daleshwari Zone delivered two tight Under-17 National Championship matches. One ended all square, the other turned on a single decisive moment.
Narayanganj and Madaripur cancelled each other out in a lively 1-1 draw. Both sides pressed high, moved the ball quickly and refused to sit in a low block, which kept the tempo sharp throughout.
Narayanganj struck first through structure rather than chaos. Mohammad Nadim drove down the right and whipped in a measured cross, and Sushil Kumar attacked the space to finish cleanly.
That goal reflected Narayanganj’s attacking intent. They pushed numbers forward, forced four shots on target and squeezed corners and free-kicks through sustained pressure.
Madaripur did not panic after falling behind. They widened the pitch, targeted the left flank and used Sajal Munshi’s movement to stretch the defence.
The equaliser came from that adjustment. Munshi delivered from the left, and Mohammad Roni timed his run to restore parity with a composed finish.
Both teams finished level on shots on target, and neither side deserved to lose. Madaripur forward Sajal Munshi earned man of the match for driving his team’s recovery.
The third match of the day rewarded control and efficiency. Gopalganj beat Munshiganj 1-0 by dictating territory and tempo.
Gopalganj scored early and stayed organised. Rizvi launched a quick throw from the right, Sheikh Risat controlled sharply and struck before the defence reset.
That goal shaped the contest. Gopalganj held the ball better, created more clear looks and forced Munshiganj to chase rather than build.
Munshiganj threw bodies forward after the break. They earned corners and free-kicks but rushed the final action and failed to land the equaliser.
Gopalganj saw the game out with discipline rather than drama. Munshiganj midfielder Risat Haque still claimed man of the match for his relentless work rate in defeat.
