Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has reduced gold prices in the domestic market for the second time after Eid-ul-Adha. This time, the price of 22‑carat gold has been cut by Tk5,482 per bhori, setting the new rate at Tk229,373.
In a notice issued Saturday morning, Bajus said the price of pure gold has fallen in the local market. Considering the current situation, the new rates took effect from 10am, it added.
Under the revised prices, 22‑carat gold now costs Tk229,373 per bhori (11.664 grams). The price of 21‑carat gold is Tk218,933, 18‑carat gold Tk187,674, and traditional method gold Tk152,857 per bhori.
Earlier, on 2 June, Bajus adjusted prices for the first time after the Eid, cutting Tk3,266 per bhori. At that time, 22‑carat gold was set at Tk234,855, 21‑carat at Tk224,182, 18‑carat at Tk192,164, and traditional gold at Tk156,473 per bhori.
So far this year, Bajus has adjusted gold prices 71 times, with 37 increases and 34 reductions. In 2025, prices were adjusted 93 times, including 64 hikes and 29 cuts.
