Gold prices in Bangladesh’s market have risen again. In this round, the price has been increased by Tk4,082 per bhori.
According to the decision of the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS), the precious metal is being sold at new rates from Sunday.
BAJUS announced the hike in gold prices in a notice issued late on Saturday. The notice stated that the price of pure gold (acid gold) has increased.
Considering the overall situation, new rates have been set for gold. As per the decision, in the domestic market, 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk259,699 per bhori (11.664 grams). The price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk247,918 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk212,518 per bhori, and traditional gold at Tk173,910 per bhori.
Meanwhile, BAJUS further mentioned in the notice that the selling price of gold must include a government-fixed 5 percent VAT and a BAJUS-fixed minimum making charge of 6 percent. However, the making charge may vary depending on the design and quality of the jewellery.
So far this year, gold prices in the domestic market have been adjusted 19 times—raised 14 times and reduced 5 times. In 2025, gold prices were adjusted a total of 93 times, with 64 increases and 29 decreases.
Although gold prices have gone up, silver prices in the domestic market remain unchanged. According to the latest decision, 22-carat silver is now being sold at Tk7,290. The price of 21-carat silver is Tk6,940 per bhori, 18-carat silver Tk5,949 per bhori, and traditional silver Tk4,432 per bhori.
So far this year, silver prices have been adjusted 14 times—raised 9 times and reduced 5 times. In 2025, silver prices were adjusted 13 times, with 10 increases and 3 decreases.
