Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has reduced gold prices in the domestic market, with the new rates taking effect from 9:30 am, Tuesday.
The association said in a press release that the price of 22-carat gold has been cut by Tk3,266 per bhori, fixing the new rate at Tk255,558.
The decision follows a decline in the price of pure gold, also known as tejabi gold, in the local market.
Under the revised rates, 21-carat gold has been set at Tk243,953 per bhori of 11.664 grammes.
The price of 18-carat gold stands at Tk209,077 per bhori.
Gold sold under the traditional method has been fixed at Tk171,111 per bhori.
