The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced another reduction in gold prices in the domestic market. This time, the price of 22-carat gold has been cut by Tk3,266 per bhori, setting the new rate at Tk2,64,948 per bhori.
Bajus shared the update in a notice on Monday morning, stating that the revised prices will take effect from 10am on Monday.
According to the notice, the price of pure gold (acid gold) has fallen in the local market, prompting the adjustment.
Under the new pricing, 22-carat gold will cost Tk2,64,948 per bhori (11.664 grams); 21-carat gold will cost Tk2,52,876 per bhori, 18-carat gold will cost Tk2,16,775 per bhori; and traditional method gold will cost Tk1,76,943 per bhori.
