Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU) marked Graduation Day 2026 on Thursday, honouring 293 students from the Winter 2024 term across four faculties, the university said in a press release. The ceremony took place at the campus in Gazipur, beginning with a procession led by Vice-Chancellor Prof GKM Mustafizur Rahman and concluding at Begum Sufia Kamal Auditorium.

The graduates completed programmes in BS in Agriculture, BS in Fisheries, BS in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, reflecting the university’s focus on building skilled professionals in the agricultural sector.

The day opened with a campus-wide procession involving graduates, faculty members and university officials, followed by a formal session at the auditorium attended by senior officials, teachers, students and guardians. Registrar Md Abdullah Mridha conducted the session.

During the programme, graduates shared reflections on their academic journey as the vice-chancellor distributed certificates and crests. The campus remained festive throughout the day with decorations, banners, photo booths and reunion gatherings.

The event underscored both the completion of academic programmes and the transition of graduates into professional roles, as the university highlighted its contribution to strengthening the country’s agricultural capacity.
