Gas supply will remain suspended for 24 hours in several areas of Narayanganj from Sunday morning due to pipeline relocation work under the South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) project.

According to a notice issued by Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited, gas supply will remain completely suspended in Bhulta, Gawsia, Murapara, Araihazar and Kanchan from 9:00am on 28 June until 9:00am on 29 June.

The pipeline relocation work will be carried out at the Golakandail intersection in Rupganj as part of the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway upgrading project under the SASEC programme.

Titas Gas said all categories of consumers in the affected areas would remain without gas throughout the 24-hour period.

The company also warned that consumers in adjoining areas might experience low gas pressure or temporary supply disruptions during the maintenance work.

Titas Gas apologised for the temporary inconvenience caused to its customers.
