DHS Motors Limited has introduced GAC Motor’s electric vehicle (EV) brand AION in Bangladesh at the 19th Dhaka Motor Show, expanding its portfolio in the country’s growing EV segment, the company said in a press release.
The launch featured two models, AION Y and AION V, both positioned as premium EVs offering comfort, spacious interiors and extended driving range. AION Y offers a range of 430 kilometres per charge, while AION V delivers up to 485 kilometres.
DHS Motors Limited, the official distributor of GAC Motor vehicles in Bangladesh, said the AION brand ranks among the top three in sales in Thailand and China and has secured the top position in China’s vehicle quality rankings for three consecutive years.
The company announced special introductory prices for the motor show, with AION Y priced at Tk50 lakh and AION V at Tk62 lakh. The models drew strong interest from visitors during the event.
The launch marks DHS Motors’ push to support the electrification of Bangladesh’s automobile sector and promote environmentally sustainable mobility.
Alongside AION, GAC models EMKOO, EMZOOM and E9 were also showcased at the event. The GAC E9, an ultra-luxury multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) introduced at last year’s motor show, continues to attract attention for its comfort and features.
EMKOO and EMZOOM, positioned as dynamic crossover sport utility vehicles (SUVs), target younger consumers with their design, performance and features.
Special offer prices are also available for these models, with EMZOOM priced at Tk40 lakh, EMKOO at Tk45 lakh, and E9 at Tk1 crore 16 lakh.
