The district administration of Thakurgaon has announced that fuel cards will be mandatory for motorcycles in a bid to bring discipline to the supply and distribution of fuel.
The initiative has been taken considering the recent global situation, aiming to ensure proper distribution of fuel and reduce public hardship.
According to the announcement, all motorcycle riders in the district must collect a fuel card by presenting the required documents at their respective Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) offices, police stations, or municipalities, according to their permanent address.
To obtain a fuel card, applicants will need to provide their original National Identity Card (NID), motorcycle registration card, driving licence, and mobile number.
Residents from other districts who are currently staying in Thakurgaon for work or other reasons have been instructed to collect their fuel cards from the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
