foodpanda Bangladesh has rewarded 100 delivery partners under its latest performance recognition initiative, with the top three riders receiving fully funded Umrah packages for their performance during Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.

The recognition programme also awarded seven delivery partners smartphones, while 40 received wireless earbuds and another 50 were given power banks for consistent service delivery during the campaign period.

The awards were handed over at a ceremony held at the company’s Dhaka headquarters, where foodpanda Bangladesh Managing Director and Co-founder Zubair Siddiky presented the prizes.

Speaking at the event, foodpanda Bangladesh Head of Logistics Mukitur Khan said delivery partners remain central to the platform’s operations, particularly during high-demand festive periods.

“Our delivery partners are central to our mission, working tirelessly during the festive rush. This initiative is our way of celebrating and empowering our dedicated community,” he said.

One of the Umrah package recipients, Md Alauddin Saber, said the recognition came as an unexpected honour.

“I never imagined such an opportunity coming my way. It never crossed my mind that my dedication to foodpanda would lead to such a significant reward. I am deeply thankful, and this recognition has truly inspired me to continue my hard work,” he said.

Since 2021, foodpanda Bangladesh has been running similar recognition programmes for its delivery partners. The company said five riders have previously received fully funded Umrah packages under earlier campaigns.

The initiative is part of ‘pandahearts’, foodpanda’s flagship programme focused on delivery partner welfare across safety, well-being, personal development, community engagement, empowerment and benefits, including healthcare, insurance and online learning opportunities.
