Fire broke out at Green Life Medical College and Hospital on Green Road in the capital’s Kalabagan area on Wednesday morning.
The fire originated around 11:40am. Two units from Mohammadpur Fire Station reached the hospital by 11:52am.
Officials said light smoke was detected on the sixth and seventh floors of the hospital’s 15‑storey building, caused by an electrical glitch.
Firefighters inspected the site and confirmed there was no major damage.
No firefighting operations were required, and the situation was declared safe.
