The fire that broke out at an Apex footwear outlet in Dhanmondi-27 of the capital on Thursday morning, was brought under control.
The blaze was brought under control around 12pm, according to the Fire Service.
The fire broke out on the third floor of the building around 10am.
The Fire Service said two units from Mohammadpur Fire Station rushed to the spot after receiving the information at around 10:05am and started firefighting operations.
Later, four more units joined the operation to douse the flames.
