The fire that broke out in the Korail slum of Dhaka’s Tejgaon area has been brought under control after approximately five and a half hours.
The Fire Service control room reported that the fire was brought under control at 10:35pm on Tuesday.
The fire had started earlier at 5:19pm. It was possible to bring the fire under control after about five and a half hours of effort by 20 units of the Fire Service.
The cause of the fire or the extent of the damage is not yet known. However, at the scene, members of the Red Crescent were seen providing primary treatment to several injured individuals.
