A four-member delegation of the FBI, led by Suhel Daud, paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Bangladesh, Md Ali Hossain Fakir, at Police Headquarters on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the head of the delegation expressed interest in enhancing the capacity of Bangladesh Police, strengthening cyber security, establishing a cyber complaint center, monitoring social media, combating financial crimes, and providing assistance in technology-based investigations.
Welcoming the delegation’s interest, the IGP emphasised further strengthening mutual cooperation and relations between the FBI and various units of Bangladesh Police, including PBI, CID, ATU, and CTTC.
During the meeting, both sides expressed expectations for stronger and more fruitful cooperation in the future.
Senior officials of Bangladesh Police were present at the time.
