The sale of return tickets will commence on 13 March for travel on 23 March. Tickets for 24 March will be sold on 14 March; 25 March on 15 March; 26 March on 16 March; 27 March on 17 March; 28 March on 18 March; and 29 March on 19 March.

Special trains and standing tickets

To accommodate the additional rush of passengers, Bangladesh Railway has decided to operate five pairs of special trains alongside regular services.

The authorities have clarified that no refunds will be issued for advance or return Eid tickets. However, to assist those without advance bookings, standing tickets – equivalent to 25 per cent of total seats (excluding high class) – will be sold from station counters on the day of travel.
