Four Bangladeshi expatriates were killed in a road accident in Saudi Arabia while travelling from Taif to Jeddah Airport on Monday.
The accident occurred around 2pm local time in the Al-Khurma area.
Two of the deceased have been identified as Abdul Karim and Khalid Ahmed, both from Lamar Taluk village under Dakshin Banigram Union in Kanaighat upazila of Sylhet. The identities of the other two victims have not yet been confirmed.
According to reports, the vehicle carrying expatriates from Taif to Jeddah met with the accident in Al-Khurma, leaving all four passengers dead at the scene.
The victims had been living in Saudi Arabia for a long time. They had reportedly booked air tickets to return to Bangladesh and were travelling to Jeddah Airport when the accident occurred.
Authorities are working to confirm the identities of the deceased and establish contact with their families.
