The Election Commission has convened a meeting to finalise the schedule for the 13th parliamentary election and a national referendum, which are expected to be held simultaneously in February next year.
The commission is also reviewing overall preparations for both votes before it briefs the president on 10 December.
The meeting began around 10:45am at the EC headquarters in Agargaon, Dhaka, with Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin presiding over the 10th commission meeting, joined by other election commissioners and senior EC officials.
