Shehreen remarked that despite holding power, the former proctor protected students with “forgiveness and affection,” a standard the proctorial team also endeavoured to maintain.

She further commented on the unique challenges faced by the proctorial team during and after the events of July uprising, stating, “I do not know if such a time and situation will ever come to this country again”.

She suggested that it is probable no other proctorial team at Dhaka University has encountered, or will likely encounter, such circumstances. Concluding her statement, Shehreen extended her congratulations to the new proctor and his team, wishing them success in their upcoming duties.
