Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort, alongside Autarky Tours, hosted a special gathering on Saturday evening to celebrate the Bangladesh Tourism Award 2026, said a press release on Sunday.
Held at Grandiose Restaurant of Dhaka Regency, it recognised significant contributions to sustainable tourism development, service excellence, and cultural heritage preservation. Barrister Mutasim Billah Farooqi, Chief Executive Officer of the Bangladesh Tourism Board, attended, bringing together several renowned tour operators.
Enriching the occasion was Dhaka Regency’s ongoing ‘Local Culinary Heritage of Bangladesh’ food festival. Showcasing traditional cooking practices and diverse local flavours, culinary elements highlighted cultural heritage’s vital role in promoting Bangladesh as a tourism destination.
