Dream71 Bangladesh has secured a United Nations Development Programme contract to develop Afghanistan’s Laboratory Logistics Information System, creating a national platform that will link the Central Public Health Laboratory in Kabul with six regional reference laboratories, according to a press release.

The system will automate laboratory operations across the network and establish real-time data flow between facilities.

It will add digital inventory tracking and integrate with national health platforms, including the health information system, electronic medical records and other reporting tools used by development partners.

Officials said the LLIS will improve patient and sample management, strengthen reporting accuracy and increase visibility across the health supply chain.

They said the system will also support compliance with standards such as ISO 15189 and guidelines followed by the World Health Organization.

“This project reflects our commitment to building technology for public health systems. We are honoured to support Afghanistan in modernising its laboratory network and improving access to reliable diagnostic services,” said Dream71 Bangladesh Managing Director Rashad Kabir.

The press release said Dream71 Bangladesh exports software to more than 15 countries and supplies digital systems to several government ministries in Bangladesh.
