Dhaka’s beloved creative platform Dhaka Makers is returning this month with “Crafted by Makers: The Workshop Series,” a four-day celebration of creativity, craft, and collaboration.
Scheduled to take place from November 13 to 16, 2025, at Shala Neighbourhood Art Space, Aloki, the event marks a refreshing shift from Dhaka Makers’ usual large-scale festivals to a more intimate, skill-based learning experience.
Following the success of Dhaka Makers 3 earlier this year, this new series begins a fresh chapter focusing on hands-on participation and mindful craftsmanship. Instead of markets and exhibitions, the workshops aim to bring people closer to the art of making through guided, interactive sessions led by local artisans, educators, and creative facilitators.
The program features three major segments tailored for diverse audiences.
The Maker’s Masterclass Sessions will offer in-depth workshops on heritage and technical crafts such as Nakshi Kantha stitching, terracotta work, and doll-making.
The newly introduced Mini Makers Day will engage children and parents in fun, collaborative activities to explore creativity together.
Meanwhile, All Hands on Craft will provide beginner-friendly sessions where participants can learn simple yet satisfying crafts like candle making, origami, and miniature model design.
True to its core philosophy of celebrating creativity in all forms, Dhaka Makers continues to encourage people to move from watching to making. Participants will receive curated kits, guided handouts, and take-home creations, along with the opportunity to join a growing community of local makers.
Select facilitators will also be featured in future collaborations under Curated by Makers at Jatra, offering local artists greater visibility and income opportunities.
