Detective Branch (DB) arrested 58 drug addicts during a block raid conducted in the area adjacent to the TT Para railway line, Dhaka.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) NM Nasiruddin confirmed the matter through a press release on Monday.
The operation was carried out at 3pm on Sunday as part of efforts to maintain the stability of law and order.
Following the raid, the arrested individuals were produced before the Special Metropolitan Magistrate Court. The court gave them various prison sentences after a summary trial and sent them to jail.
