Daraz Bangladesh, the country’s leading online shopping destination and e-commerce platform, has announced the nationwide launch of its new Fast Delivery service on Friday.
The service is designed to deliver eligible products to customers more quickly at no additional cost to either buyers or sellers, reads a press release.
At launch, nearly 50,000 products across Lifestyle, FMCG (Groceries), Electronics, and Fashion will qualify for Fast Delivery. This rollout is supported by more than 2,500 sellers across Bangladesh who already meet the programme’s performance and fulfilment standards.
To support faster fulfilment, Daraz has invested in strengthening its logistics capabilities across the country while keeping the service free of any extra charges.
Products qualifying for the service will carry a Fast Delivery tag, allowing customers to easily identify sellers who consistently demonstrate strong fulfilment and delivery performance.
From Friday, the tag will be visible throughout the customer’s shopping journey on product pages, and a new search filter will allow shoppers to browse qualifying products directly. The service carries no additional tag fees, commissions, or buyer surcharges beyond the usual checkout price.
Daraz Bangladesh Chief Commercial Officer Kamrul Hasan emphasised that the new service responds directly to changing consumer expectations. “Customers today expect online shopping to keep pace with their lives, and Fast Delivery is our response to that expectation,” Hasan said. “This launch is more than a service upgrade. It is about making delivery speed more reliable for customers while giving sellers another way to compete in a fast-growing e-commerce market.”
He added that the logistics investment will make it easier for customers to shop with confidence and help sellers serve them better.
For sellers, qualifying for the service offers a key opportunity to highlight their delivery performance. Noman Ali, a Dhaka-based seller on Daraz, highlighted the importance of building buyer trust for small enterprises. “Knowing that my store qualifies for Fast Delivery means customers can have more confidence that their orders will reach them faster,” Ali said. “For a small business like mine, that trust is very important. A good delivery experience can make a customer choose your store again the next time they shop.”
As Bangladesh’s leading e-commerce platform, Daraz’s latest initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to make online shopping more accessible, reliable, and convenient through continuous investments in technology, logistics, and seller enablement.
