A Dakhil examinee was expelled after being caught cheating on CCTV during the English first paper exam on Tuesday at Hasina Gazi Girls’ High School centre in Bakshiganj.
Authorities monitoring live CCTV footage identified the candidate, Brishti Akter, a student of Airmari Islamia Mohila Dakhil Madrasa, engaging in unfair means during the examination.
Acting on the footage, centre secretary and Khair Uddin Fazil Madrasa Head Teacher Rofiqul Islam immediately inspected the room and caught the candidate red-handed with cheating materials.
She was later expelled for violating examination rules.
“Strict monitoring is being maintained through CCTV to ensure transparency and discipline at the exam centre,” said centre secretary Rofiqul Islam.
“Our stance against cheating is firm. The accused candidate was caught red-handed and expelled as per rules,” he added.
