The University of Chittagong (CU) organised a ‘Best Research Article Award Presentation and Research Workshop’ on Monday to recognise research contributions and promote academic studies.
The event, arranged by CU’s Research Administration and Publication Office, was held at 10am at the auditorium of the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries, with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Al-Forkan attending as the chief guest.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr Mohammed Al-Amin and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Md Safiqul Islam attended the programme as special guests.
In a press release, CU said the initiative was aimed at encouraging researchers and strengthening the university’s research environment through recognition of outstanding academic work.
Addressing the event, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Al-Forkan said the Research and Publication Cell has been organising the Best Research Article Award for the past several years, describing it as a highly commendable initiative.
He said such recognition motivates researchers, encourages them to pursue new studies and helps enhance research activities at the university.
