Chittagong University (CU) has appointed new acting deans for the Faculties of Business Administration and Biological Sciences to ensure smooth operations within these faculties.
Prof Mohammad Saleh Zahur from the Finance Department has been assigned as the Acting Dean for the Faculty of Business Administration, while Professor Dr AM Masudul Azad Chowdhury from the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology will oversee the Faculty of Biological Sciences until new deans are selected or further notice is given.
Both professors officially assumed their roles on 11 May 2026. In a press statement, the university confirmed that the newly appointed deans would receive the standard allowances and benefits associated with their positions during their tenure.
