A crude bomb-like object has been found at Dhaka Udyan in the capital’s Mohammadpur area.
Upon receiving the information, a bomb disposal team from Special Response Battalion (SRB) was dispatched to the scene.
Major M Mubeen Rahman Tapas, deputy director (media) of SRB-2, confirmed the information on Monday.
He said it has not yet been confirmed whether the materials initially found are indeed crude bombs.
Detailed information will be available after the bomb disposal team reaches the location and conducts an examination.
No casualties were immediately reported in connection with the incident.
