Testimony against Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif will be recorded on 8 December in connection with charges of crimes against humanity committed during the July mass uprising.
The International Crimes Tribunal‑2 led by Justice Nozrul Islam Chowdhury on Tuesday passed the order following the prosecution’s opening statement.
The hearing on framing charges against Hanif and former Information Minister and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) president Hasanul Haq Inu in the case has concluded.
On the other hand, the case filed over killing of six people in Kushtia during the July–August mass uprising, named Hanif and three others as accused. All four are absconding now.
The other three are Kushtia district Awami League president Sadar Uddin Khan, district general secretary Azgar Ali, and Kushtia town AL general secretary Ataur Rahman Ata.
