After hearing, the court approved the request.

According to the ACC, Farhad Hossain illegally acquired assets worth Tk1.11 crore by misusing his power. Suspicious and irregular financial transactions were found across his 12 bank accounts. Based on these allegations, a case has been filed under the Money Laundering Prevention Act, which remains under investigation.

The ACC added that Farhad Hossain is already in custody in another case at Dhaka Central Jail.

They warned that if granted bail, he may abscond or leave the country. To ensure a fair and transparent investigation, the ACC argued that his arrest was necessary.
