Community Bank Bangladesh PLC. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the SME and Special Programmes Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank to implement the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) of the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance.
The MoU was signed on Thursday, 8 January 2026, at the Jahangir Alam Conference Room of Bangladesh Bank. Deputy Governor, Nurun Nahar and Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, Husne Ara Shikha, attended the ceremony, according to a press release.
On behalf of Bangladesh Bank, Director, Nawshad Mustafa, and Programme Director (PD) and Additional Director of SMESPD, Md Nazrul Islam, signed the agreement.
Managing Director (Current Charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, Kimiwa Saddat, signed the MoU on behalf of the Bank.
Deputy Program Director (DPD) – Programs and Joint Director Mohammad Wasim, ; Coordinator – Programs and Deputy Director of Bangladesh Bank Muhammad Ariful Islam; and Head of SME Hossain-Al-Safeer Chowdhury, , and Head of Agriculture of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC Sharif Hasan Mamun, along with other senior officials of Bangladesh Bank were also present at the event.
