Community Bank Bangladesh PLC completed an entrepreneurship training programme under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program, aimed at improving business skills, promoting innovation and strengthening industrial competitiveness.

The programme, organised in collaboration with Bangladesh Bank, concluded at the Community Bank Training Academy in Gulshan, Dhaka, where 23 young and new entrepreneurs received certificates after successfully completing the course, the bank said in a press release.

Bangladesh Bank SMESPD Department Director Nawshad Mustafa attended the closing ceremony as chief guest.

Community Bank Bangladesh Managing Director in Current Charge, CAMLCO and Chief Operating Officer Shamsul Haque Sufyani presided over the event.

Bangladesh Bank Deputy Director and Program Coordinator Mohammad Ariful Islam attended as special guest.

The programme was conducted under the government’s Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program, with Bangladesh Bank acting as the executing agency and the Asian Development Bank providing financial support.

The initiative aims to improve business competencies, develop skilled human resources, promote entrepreneurship and strengthen Bangladesh’s economic competitiveness.

Among others attending the programme were Community Bank Bangladesh Head of SME and Program Coordinator Hossain-Al-Safeer Chowdhury, Manager for Learning and Development H M Mahedi Hasan, and Head of Agri Sharif Hasan Mamun.

Senior officials from Bangladesh Bank and Community Bank Bangladesh also attended the event.
