City Bank organised its Earnings Disclosure webcast on Sunday to present its financial performance for the second quarter of 2026.
The bank reported a Consolidated Profit After Tax of TK526.69 crore for the half year ended June 2026, a substantial increase from the TK301.11 crore recorded during the same period in the previous year.
Consolidated Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the period rose to TK3.01, compared to TK1.72 in the corresponding period of last year, read a press release.
The digital event, held on 2 August 2026, attracted a global audience including existing and potential investors, researchers, analysts, and other individuals involved in capital market activities.
Mashrur Arefin, managing director and CEO of City Bank, outlined the bank’s recent strategic positioning and future objectives during the event. Md Mahbubur Rahman, additional managing director and CFO, provided a detailed financial overview of the report.
The session was also attended by Mesbaul Asif Siddiqui, DMD and head of Wholesale Banking; AKM Saif Ullah Kowchar, DMD and head of Internal Control and Compliance; and Mohammad Firoz Alam, chief risk officer.
The presentations were followed by a lively Q&A session where the bank’s management addressed various queries and views shared by participants.
