A new year has begun with fresh aspirations and renewed energy. People from all walks of life are stepping into 2026 with optimism and figures from the entertainment world are no exception.
Sharmin Sultana Sumi, founding member of the band Chirkutt, as well as a vocalist, lyricist and composer, shared her thoughts on the new year in a Facebook post on Thursday (January 1st).
Posting a still photograph, the artist wrote: “I want just one thing in the new year, that I can wear my tip properly in the middle. Welcome to the magical city of 2026.”
Fans and admirers responded warmly, showering Sumi with compliments and New Year wishes. One admirer commented, “Mirza Ghalib would write poetry if he saw you.” Another, Shizul Islam, wrote, “You look lovely with a small tip. Happy New Year 2026.”
Riaz Uddin simply wrote, “Completeness,” while Rafi suggested, “Try a red tip.” Tultuli commented, “May your wish come true.”
