A four-and-a-half-year-old girl was killed after being hit by an easy-bike in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga on Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred around 10:30am in the Zero Point area of Senerhuda village under Uthali union.
The deceased, Roja, was the only daughter of Raju Ahmed of the village.
According to locals, Roja had crossed the road to buy pickles from a shop. While returning to her mother, an easy-bike carrying bakery goods struck her.
She sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Jibannagar Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared her dead.
Jibannagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Solaiman Sheikh confirmed the incident and said legal procedures are underway.
