Police have recovered the body of a businessman, Saidur Rahman Helal, 44, from an office room in the Hatkhola area of Wari, Dhaka.
The body was recovered around midnight on Tuesday from the fourth floor of Delwar Complex on Hatkhola Road, where a business named “Amber Scientific” operates.
Later, the body was then sent to Dhaka Medical College (DMC) morgue for autopsy.
Wari Police Sub-Inspector Md Zakaria Khan stated in inquest report Saidur allegedly hanged himself from a fan hook in his office around 10:30pm on Tuesday.
However, the reason behind the act could not be ascertained.
Meanwhile, at DMC morgue, the deceased’s elder brother, Mobarak Ullah Babar, along with others, said Saidur’s residence was in Swamibagh area and his ancestral home is in Nurullapur village of Chandpur sadar upazila. He was a father of three children.
They said, “He had allowed his office employees to leave around 8pm. Shortly after, we received news that he had hanged himself there. We later went to the office and found his body hanging.
However, we do not know the reason why he might have done this.”
