Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) organised its Freshers’ Reception 2025-2026 for newly admitted students of the 2025-26 academic session across its faculties.
The programmes were held on April 29 and 30, and May 10 at the university’s Shadhinota Auditorium for students of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Business Studies, and Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies.
BUP Vice Chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam attended the programmes as the chief guest, said a press release.
The freshers were introduced to the university’s academic and administrative activities at the beginning of the event.
Congratulating the newly admitted students, the vice chancellor highlighted discipline, honesty, integrity, empathy, self-control, and self-confidence as key qualities for students.
He said BUP is focused not only on academic excellence but also on developing responsible citizens with strong moral and human values.
The vice chancellor also said the university is giving importance to outcome-based and application-oriented education to create skilled human resources in a rapidly changing global environment.
He expressed hope that the freshers would contribute to enhancing the university’s reputation and play a role in the country’s development.
Senior university officials, faculty members, staff, and students attended the programmes.
