The Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has announced that its undergraduate admission test for the 2025–26 academic session will be held on 10 January.
The application process will begin on November 16 and continue for about three weeks.
The decision was made at a meeting of the BUET Admission Test Committee on Saturday. Later in the evening, the committee’s chair, Professor Dr Abdul Jalil, confirmed to the media.
“We will start receiving applications from 16 November, and the process will continue for around three weeks or slightly longer,” said Dr Jalil.
“A detailed admission circular with the application deadline will soon be published in newspapers and on the university’s website.”
Rejecting any possibility of lowering the minimum GPA requirement, he added, “The overall HSC results this year were quite good and genuine. Students who are truly meritorious have achieved GPA-5.
‘‘Therefore, the eligibility criteria will remain unchanged. Applicants must have GPA-5 in HSC, with separate GPA-5s in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as was required before.”
