The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has approved the dissolution of Vanguard AML BD Finance Mutual Fund One following the completion of its 10-year tenure.

The approval came at the regulator’s 1,020th commission meeting on Tuesday in response to an application from the fund’s trustee, Bangladesh General Insurance Company PLC.

Vanguard Asset Management Limited manages the closed-end mutual fund.

According to BSEC, the fund has a total unit capital of Tk104.32 crore, with each unit carrying a face value of Tk10.

The regulator’s approval paves the way for the fund’s winding up in line with applicable regulations governing closed-end mutual funds upon expiry of their tenure.
