British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Defence Adviser Brigadier General (retd) AKM Shamsul Islam at his office in Dhaka Cantonment.
The meeting took place at the Armed Forces Division. Both sides exchanged greetings and discussed ways to further enhance defence cooperation between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.
They also discussed various issues of bilateral interest, including strengthening existing military ties between the two countries.
During the meeting, Shamsul Islam recalled the long-standing friendly relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.
