BRAC Bank TARA will feature nearly 30 mother-led businesses at a Mother’s Day programme in Dhaka on Sunday as the bank expands efforts to support women entrepreneurs and leadership development.
The event, titled “The Motherhood Movement”, is being organised in collaboration with Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, according to a press release.
The programme will include a “Mother’s Market” showcasing handcrafted products, boutique fashion items, artisanal foods and wellness products from women-led businesses.
Organisers said the initiative aims to move beyond conventional celebrations by recognising mothers as entrepreneurs, professionals and changemakers contributing to the economy.
The market will remain open throughout the day, allowing visitors to interact directly with entrepreneurs and explore products from different brands.
The event will also feature a leadership discussion titled “Passion, Power & Possibility”, where professionals and entrepreneurs will discuss balancing motherhood, leadership and business responsibilities.
BRAC Bank said the session will focus on leadership, identity and the challenges facing modern working mothers.
The programme will conclude with the “Inspiring Mothers Awards”, recognising women in categories including Mompreneur, Most Creative Mother and Inspiring Mother.
Cultural performances and a dinner programme will also be held as part of the event.
BRAC Bank said the initiative reflects its broader strategy to promote women’s economic inclusion and create platforms that support entrepreneurship and leadership beyond financial services.
The programme will be held at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan and will remain open to visitors free of charge.
