Joint forces recovered a bomb-like object found inside a white bag near a tree in Kalia municipal area of Narail.
The suspicious bag was discovered around 11pm on Monday.
According to local sources, residents spotted the abandoned bag and, sensing something suspicious, alerted law enforcement.
Upon receiving the information, members of the police and army quickly reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
Precautions were taken after the bomb-like object was spotted inside the bag. The discovery triggered significant panic among the local population as news of the incident spread.
Kalia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Idris Ali confirmed the recovery of the object.
He stated that the recovered item is currently being examined to determine if it is a genuine explosive through expert verification. Furthermore, an investigation is underway to identify the individuals who left the bag at the scene.
