A six-member delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday.
The meeting took place at the Pakistan Embassy in Dhaka at 6 pm, as confirmed by Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP media cell.
The BNP delegation was led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and included Standing Committee members Abdul Moyeen Khan and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Vice Chairman Begum Selim Rahman, Air Vice Marshal (retd) Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, and Organising Secretary Shama Obayed.
Ishaq Dar arrived in Dhaka around 2:30 PM on Saturday via a special flight for high-level talks on bilateral issues.
This visit marks the first state visit to Bangladesh by a Pakistani leader in 13 years, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
