A case has been filed over the abduction and killing of a teenage rape survivor in Narsingdi, and police have arrested five people, including a Union BNP president, in connection with the incident.
The victim’s mother filed the case on Thursday night, naming nine accused. Police said five of them were arrested the same night.

The detainees were identified as Union BNP Vice-President Ahmed Ali Dewan, Imran Dewan, Md Ebadullah, Ayub Ali and Md Gaffar.
Madhabdi Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kamal Hossain told TIMES of Bangladesh that five people had been arrested and a 10-day remand had been sought.
He said during preliminary questioning the accused admitted attempting to settle the earlier rape allegation through a local arbitration and taking Tk8,000.
Police said the post-mortem of the teenager has been completed and the process of handing over the body to her family is under way.
According to the complaint, around 15 days ago six men led by a local youth named Nura allegedly raped the girl.
The matter was later taken up by local representatives, including Union BNP Vice-President Ahmed Ali Dewan, who were accused of trying to suppress the case without proper action.
The family also alleged that they were pressured to leave the village.
On Wednesday night, the girl’s father was reportedly taking her to her aunt’s house for safety when six youths led by Nura allegedly abducted her from him.
The following morning, locals found her body in a mustard field between Bilpar and Darikandi areas.
